![]() ![]() Comparatively the value in the el prez or soundtrack add ons comes down to whether you will make use of the soundtrack separate from the game, otherwise you don't need to buy it at all, just the regular edition. You can debate the value of spitter and wallstreet but at least they have a mission in each. The other DLC that add buildings/missions aren't in that package anyway. That's something to consider even before the new error in package price caused it to duplicate within the sale structure. This is beyond communism my dear president! Show mercy!Įdit: is that fudging Penultimo still roaming around in the office? I told you to throw him out two years ago! I was just pointing out the el prez edition itself adds nothing to game play and neither does the soundtrack. They are adding in the soundtrack that I don't need in this version, and then making me pay for it twice! The soundtrack doesn't add anything to the game itself, it's just the music files duplicated for use separate from the game. Originally posted by Kunovega:Honestly though, are you even going to listen to the soundtrack separate from the game? Because if you aren't, you can just buy the base game. Shouldn't include both of these with a price tag:Ĭlaims to already include the other, the new package format basically has you paying for the soundtrack twice when it's on sale (it's not an issue when there's no sale going on because the packages $55 set price overrides the total) Now for some reason the el prez edition is reformated as a package (instead of a single purchased edition) and while the package price is still the original $55 when not on sale, the new formatting makes the total price incorrect when on sale because it's not discounting from the normal package discount, it's discounting off the higher total of the components that didn't used to have price tags individually. Anyone who had purchased el prez edition already had it and had paid less. People complained that they couldn't upgrade from regular to el prez edition and so the el prez pack upgrade was added to the DLC list for $8. Anyone who had already purcahased el prez edition already had it and had only paid an extra $5 for it (plus had the deco) The soundtrack was added as it's own DLC for $7. ![]() Many months later people who hadn't purchased the el prez edition asked if they could buy the soundtrack. El Prez edition was exactly as it's currently described: the base game, a flamingo pond decoration, and the sound track (as music files in a separate folder) The "pieces" were not available individually, and there was no way to upgrade between editions. Tropico 6 El Prez Edition $55 (and it was not a bundle/package) I can tell you how the game used to be sold and a minor history behind it, but I can't explain why it was updated to be the way it is now. You are correct, these new bundles are now over-priced and redundant. Someone screwed up the bundles/packages, because that is not how they used to be sold.
